Profile Description | I am an RCI licensed Clinical Psychologist. I aim to facilitate improving the mental health functioning of individuals as well as reduce the stigma existing in this field. I believe that every person has their own unique way in which they perceive themselves and their world. If we have to help someone in their pain, the only we you can do so is by giving them that non-judgmental and trusted space where they can explore themselves and embark on the journey of acceptance as well as change. Thus, my therapeutic approach is eclectic and suited to the client’s needs. I am particularly interested and have experience in working with young adults, self and relationship concerns, and mental health conditions such as anxiety disorders, depression, borderline personality disorder and adult ADHD. A lot of my work over the past two years has focussed on helping people understand themselves, and their relationships, dealing with conflicts and establishing healthy boundaries, As an individual, who has gone through her own personal struggles, just like anybody else, I do understand that some things are easier said than done, and so the aim is to continue the therapeutic journey to bringing you closer to believing in yourself or making a change. In therapy with me, one can expect a non-judgemental, trusting space, a combination of structure and exploration to navigate life. Having a background in dance and some practical experience with dance movement therapy, I strongly believe that the more we understand the body-mind connection and use that principle to guide our lives, the healthier our lives get. I draw on those principles as well, in my practice. |
